Terms of Use

Last updated 2026-10-28

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Liham ("we", "us"). By creating an account, buying anything or publishing an invitation, you agree to them, to our Privacy Notice and to our Disclaimer of Liability, which is part of these Terms.

Business name, address and registration details will be added here once registration is complete.

1. What Liham is

Liham provides online tools to create, publish and share web invitations and simple cards, collect RSVPs, and find independent editors. We are not the organiser of any event shown in an invitation and are not responsible for the event itself, its changes or its cancellation.

2. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account. Younger hosts, such as a debutante who is still 17, use a parent's or guardian's account.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • You may delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting it permanently removes your invitations, photos and drafts; published links stop working; and any remaining plan time is forfeited. We keep minimal order records for the period the law requires for accounting.
  • We may disable an account that breaks these Terms. While an account is disabled, all its published invitations are offline, including invitations an editor made for clients.

3. Invitations and links

  • Liham never shares your invitation. We don't list, show or promote invitation pages anywhere on Liham, and we never post or share a client's invitation link on social media (Liham's own pages included) or anywhere else, for your privacy and security. We ask search engines (such as Google) not to show them, although we can't guarantee every search engine follows this. Invitations carry sensitive details such as the date, time and venue of your event, so you (the host, or the editor who made it) alone decide who receives the link, including any client an editor shares it with, and you are responsible for that choice. The only exceptions are sample invitations an editor chooses to show on their own profile and customer stories published with written consent; a customer story never includes the invitation's link.
  • A published invitation can be opened by anyone with its link, and links can be forwarded. Share it only with people you trust, and don't publish information you wouldn't want shared, such as a home address or phone numbers.
  • See something wrong? Report any invitation with the "Report" link on the page or at liham.ph/report. We review every report. Unless it is urgent (such as a clear scam, illegal content or a risk to someone's safety), we first email the invitation's owner the reason (never who reported it) and give them 3 days to explain or fix it. If it still breaks these Terms we take it down, and if the breach is confirmed we may also disable the account behind it.
  • Invitations stay online until you unpublish them, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
  • Invitation links include your username (liham.ph/{username}/{link}), so anyone with the link sees it. If you change an invitation's link or your username, or an editor hands an invitation over to you, the old link redirects for 30 days. A released link is then held for 90 days, after which anyone may claim it. Links shared before usernames (liham.ph/i/…) keep redirecting to the current link.
  • Hosts are responsible for the event details. Guests should confirm important details with the host.
  • Gift guide details, including GCash or bank QR codes, are provided by the host. Liham doesn't handle, process or verify gifts or payments between guests and hosts.
  • RSVP replies are collected for the host, who decides how to use them and is responsible for them. Guests may add a phone number and email; both are optional. The host can share the replies through a private, read-only RSVP link; anyone with that link sees the replies, including guests' contact details, so the host is responsible for who gets it and can replace the link at any time.
  • Videos and music links in an invitation play from YouTube, Vimeo or SoundCloud. Liham doesn't control those services, and once a guest plays one, that service may set its own cookies. Nothing loads from them until a guest taps play.

4. Plans and purchases

  • Free: build with any template, card and Pro section in drafts. Free templates and cards can be published without a limit. Programme, dress code, gift guide, FAQ and the RSVP form are Pro sections (included with paid templates that come with them, and with Pro); without the RSVP form, guests reply to the RSVP contact you add. Invitations live with those sections before 24 October 2026 keep them. The RSVP form has no limit on replies. Invitations show a small "Made with Liham.ph" footer.
  • Buying a template, card or pack: a one-time payment. Each purchase covers one invitation made with that template; for another invitation (for example, a save-the-date), buy it again or use Pro. Templates bought before 25 October 2026 keep covering the 2 invitations they were sold with, and those bought before 24 October 2026 any number. Once an invitation is published, its names can't be changed, so it can't be reused for other hosts; you're shown them to check before you publish. The date can still be changed (for example, if the event is postponed). It includes the Pro sections that template comes with (for example, its entourage), and its price is the template's own price plus the price of each of those elements, shown with a breakdown before you pay; other Pro sections you add still need Pro or a one-time purchase. It doesn't remove the "Made with Liham.ph" footer. Personal use only.
  • Buying Pro sections for one invitation: a one-time payment for the Pro sections one invitation uses, each at its own price (for example, Entourage). It covers that invitation only and doesn't remove the "Made with Liham.ph" footer.
  • The envelope your invitation or card arrives in is Liham's signature and is always free: every envelope design, on every template and card, with or without a plan or purchase.
  • Background music is a paid add-on for each invitation or card (bought once for that invitation or card, at the price shown). It's included with Pro and Editor, but not with a bought template. Invitations already live with music before 24 October 2026 keep it.
  • An invitation with Pro sections or another purchase made for it alone can't be deleted, so what you paid isn't lost; you can archive it to hide it from My invitations and restore it any time. Deleting your account still removes it.
  • Pro: monthly or yearly, for personal use. Includes every premium template and card, Pro sections, and lets you turn off the "Made with Liham.ph" footer.
  • Editor: monthly or yearly. Everything in Pro, plus the tools to make invitations for paying clients. See section 7.
  • Upgrade credit: if you bought a template, card or pack in the 14 days before your first Pro or Editor payment, its price comes off that first payment, once. Any amount above the plan price isn't carried over, refunded or exchanged.
  • Pro and Editor are paid in advance for each month or year and last until the end of that period. Auto-renew can be turned off at any time in your account; turning it off (cancelling) keeps your plan until the period ends. Automatic charging is not available yet, so nothing is charged unless you pay for the next period yourself.
  • When Pro or Editor ends, your designs stay saved and editable and your published invitations stay live, but they show the "Made with Liham.ph" footer again. Publishing designs with premium templates or Pro sections then needs Pro, Editor, buying the template, or buying the Pro sections for that invitation.
  • Purchases made before 12 October 2026: an invitation bought on its own keeps covering that invitation (including changing to another template for free up to the price you paid, or paying the difference for a pricier one), and you also own that template for your other invitations. Passes bought before then run until their end date, never auto-renew, and count as Pro or Editor until then.
  • Prices are in Philippine pesos and may change at any time; a change never affects what you already bought, a plan period you already paid for, or a checkout already started.
  • Coupon codes: a coupon works only for what it says (templates, cards and packs bought on their own, or a Pro or Editor month or year; never Pro sections or music bought once), between its dates and while its uses last, and it may be limited to once per account or a minimum order. One coupon per order, taken after any upgrade credit. It has no cash value and can't be exchanged. A plan coupon discounts only the month or year you buy with it. If a coupon brings an order to ₱0, it is activated at once with nothing to pay. We may end a coupon early.

5. Payments and refunds

  • You pay in advance for each purchase or plan period. While online payment is not yet available, you pay with one of the methods shown at checkout (for example GCash, Maya or bank transfer) and send us a screenshot of the receipt and, if you have one, the reference number: your purchase activates only after we confirm the payment. Send the exact amount with your order code and keep your receipt. We aren't responsible for money sent to an account or number other than the one shown at checkout, or for delays by GCash, Maya or banks.
  • When a payment partner is used, it processes the payment under its own terms; we don't store full card details.
  • Refunds: a purchase or a plan period can be refunded within 7 days of payment if nothing was published using it. Otherwise payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires. To ask for a refund, reply to your receipt email. Refunds are sent manually (for example by GCash, Maya or bank transfer, or through the payment partner), and you bear any transfer or payment fee: it is deducted from the amount we send, so a refund may be less than what you paid. The refund email shows the amount sent and any fee deducted. A refunded purchase stops working, and a refunded plan period is taken off your plan. Invitations that relied on what was refunded are unpublished (your designs stay saved), and we email you when that happens. A discounted order refunds what you actually paid (less any fee), and a coupon you used isn't given back.

6. Your content

  • You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. You give Liham permission to store, resize and display them only to provide the service. We remove location data (EXIF) from uploaded photos.
  • Only upload photos you have the right to use, and with the consent of the people shown in them.
  • Videos are never uploaded to Liham: you link them from YouTube or Vimeo. Only link videos and music you have the right to share; you are responsible for them.
  • Copyright: if an invitation uses your photos, artwork, music or video without your permission, report it with the "Report" link on the page or at liham.ph/report and choose "copyright". We review it, ask the invitation's owner to explain or fix it (as above), and take the invitation down if it infringes your rights. Repeated or confirmed infringement can get the account disabled.
  • Photos you uploaded but no longer use in any of your invitations are deleted automatically after 7 days. Keep your own copies.
  • You must not publish content that is illegal, misleading, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, infringing, or that collects money or personal data under false pretences. We may take down any invitation that breaks these rules (usually after asking its owner first, as in §3), and disable the account behind it when the breach is confirmed. Anyone can report an invitation or editor profile.
  • Templates, sections, fonts and artwork remain Liham's or its licensors'. You may use them inside invitations made on Liham; you may not copy, export or resell the templates themselves. Sample photos and video clips in templates are placeholders and should be replaced with your own. Music from Liham's library may be used only in invitations made on Liham.

7. Editors and clients

  • Editors are independent. They are not Liham employees or agents, and Liham doesn't supervise their work.
  • Agreements, prices, payments, deadlines and refunds between editors and clients are solely between them. Liham takes no commission, isn't a party to the deal and doesn't handle disputes.
  • Editors are responsible for their own taxes, permits and business registration where required, and must have their clients' permission for any client photos and details they upload.
  • An editor profile is shown only to people the editor shares its link with, and only while the Editor plan is active. Liham doesn't review or vet editors, and a profile isn't an endorsement or guarantee. Report a profile that looks wrong; Liham may hide it.
  • Preview links are private but not password-protected: anyone with the link can view the draft until it is turned off. They last 30 days and work only while your Editor plan is active; to share an invitation with guests, publish it.
  • When your Editor plan ends, your profile link stops working, your clients' published invitations stay live, and you can still hand over invitations you made while the plan was active.
  • Invitations an editor makes for clients stay in the editor's account and depend on it. To let a client follow the replies, the editor sends them the private RSVP link or the spreadsheet.
  • The optional "Designed by" credit shows the editor's name publicly; the invitation's owner can remove it at any time.

8. Liability

The Disclaimer of Liability explains what Liham is and isn't responsible for, and limits our liability as far as Philippine law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Act or the Data Privacy Act.

9. Changes, law and contact

  • We may update these Terms. If a change matters for you, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect; continuing to use Liham means you accept the new Terms.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
  • If the English and Tagalog versions differ, the English version prevails.
  • Questions, problems, template ideas and support: the Contact page (liham.ph/contact) or hello@liham.ph. We reply by email; a template idea is a suggestion, not a request we promise to fulfil.
